Someone else reported they had better luck with rechargeables–I have not tried that yet Birthday present for our 10-year-old son 2 weeks–he loves it! He says it responds well to the controller and turns more sharply than any of his other r/c’s, but seems to have a fairly short range. Works well on both carpet and linoleum. Based on previous reviews, I warned him to be careful with it, but it has still taken a few trips down a 1/2 flight of stairs, plus rammed into walls numerous times.
